I love text messaging! I use it on my cell phone all the time. I also IM with my sister on a regular basis. We haven't used these in the library as of yet. I think it would be a great way to open the lines of communication with the younger aged group as well as the busy people all around us.

Many of our academic libraries in the state use IM at the reference desk. Why not?
